TIEKE and Aalto University/CKIR are working in a European project developing training on EDI themes to management students and managers. We think that the localised part of this training would serve the Finnish working life best, if we would develop it with the key stakeholders.

Developing management skills on DEI/EDI themes to Finnish working life

The European EDIFY-EDU project addresses the skills gap of Management education with regards to competencies on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The aim is to develop skills of management students and managers in medium-sized companies so that they can respond to the societal transformation.

The first phase of the EDIFY-EDU training program is an online MOOC course in autumn 2024. Target group for the MOOC are managers, management students, entrepreneurs, and HR managers.

In the second phase of the program, more country-specific and customizable Specialization Course will be implemented in early 2025. This course is targeted especially to management students, and it will consist of smaller learning modules.

Designing the training program with key stakeholders

TIEKE and Aalto University/CKIR saw that the Specialization Course would serve the Finnish working life best, if we would develop it with the key stakeholders.

So, we invited these stakeholders to participate in a workshop to design the modular training together. The aim was to get a basic idea of the 20 modules of the course and choose the most important ones for Finland´s point of view.
