Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber ‘President’s Lunch’

Date

The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown (DLR) Chamber’s President’s Lunch is an annual gathering where we celebrate our achievements, strengthen connections, and look ahead with shared purpose.

This year’s event was held on the 30th January 2025 in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin and it was a true reflection of the collaborative spirit that drives our business community.

The theme of this year’s President’s Lunch was ‘New Year, New Energy, Building a Brighter Future Together’. It was a pleasure to be invited by the Chamber’s CEO Colette O’Sullivan, to represent the Irish consortium of the EDIFY_EDU project, in partnership with the DLR Chamber and the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.

The DLR Chamber’s President Lunch provided the EDIFY_EDU project, the opportunity to present our mission to improve the quality of EDI management education and facilitate the acquisition of EDI competencies and transversal skills for managers and students in business and management.

Lisa D’Arcy promoted EDIFY_EDU student work-based learning placements to the 80 employer participants in attendance with strong engagement, collaboration and an overwhelming uptake from employers and interest in student work-based learning placements and positive change for future EDI management skills.

Thanks to Jill Lush, President of the Chamber, for highlighting the importance of the EDIFY EDU project and to Cormac Devlin TD, Sinéad Gibney, Barry Ward, Shay Brennan TD, Local County Councillors, Sandyford Business District and the DLR Chamber’s business members, for their attendance, support and engagement in the EDIFY EDU project.  It was an afternoon filled with engaging discussions, inspiring speakers, and an opportunity to celebrate vibrant business partnerships.
